From a fan of tubular mascara….

"I have used tubular mascara for decades. My oldie but goodie has been a Kevyn Aucoin version. I think they messed with the original formulas, and haven’t been happy with the product for a while. I’m a firm believer in tubular mascara, because you don’t need to rub your sensitive eye area to remove it, and as a result I still don’t have under eye wrinkles even though I’m over 50. I was pleased to learn Trish had two kinds of tubulars: curling and volume. I’m still trying to make up my mind about which I prefer. I think I like the tubular curling version best. I like the want shape more than the volume wand, but they are both very good. I have two recommendations for those who are new to this kind of mascara: 1. The formula dries fast, so I recommend doing one eye, then the other. 2. Do NOT push the wand up and down, because it introduces air and dries the mascara out. Instead, gently twist the wand down into the container, and do the same when you remove the wand. My Christmas Trish wish list is growing. I’d love to see the tubular mascara in other colors, like the eye liner pencils. I’d like to see these mascaras in deep aubergine, deep navy, deep green, brown and black, but ANY other color would be wonderful."

What is “tubular” mascara and how does it differ from others.
Hello! Unlike other mascara formulas which coat lashes with pigment, Trish McEvoy’s Tubular Mascaras create water-resistant tubes which completely wrap around each lash. The polymer-based formulas will never smudge, budge or flake so you’ll never have racoon eyes or smear your towels! When it comes time to remove your makeup, just get your eye area nice and wet with warm water and the tubes will slide gently and cleanly off--no remover required!
